Marijuana is legal over at a lot of different parts of the world and a lot of other states and countries are starting to make it legal. So I thought why not some interesting facts about marijuana for today. Again I am in no way promoting the abusive use of marijuana, but these facts about marijuana are interesting and worth knowing.

  • Marijuana is not a deadly drug and dying because of over dose is likely impossible. A marijuana smoker would have to smoke almost 20,000 to 40,000 joints in order to be at risk of dying. That means it will only become deadly if you consume 20,000 to 40,000 the times the amount of THC in a joint. But the amount of carbon monoxide in the joints could cause death because of the carbon monoxide poisoning after 800+ joints.
  • The THC from marijuana has significant therapeutic value to patients suffering from cancer, AIDS or glaucoma, several studies have revealed.
  • Studies have shown that at least 1/3 of Americans have used Marijuana some time in their lives.
  • According to a study by the national survey on drug use, around 6000 Americans are trying marijuana daily for the first time in their life.
  • Teenagers of America were found to be using more pot more than cigarettes.
  • UCLA study revealed that even heavy marijuana use won’t cause lung cancer. The reason being the much less carcinogens in pot when compared to that of cigarettes.
  • A few studies have found that slight use of marijuana can reduce the chances of lung cancer and will give you stronger lung capacity.
  • Although driving while under the influence of marijuana could lead to accidents, the risk is much lesser than drunk driving.
